Jurnal : "Eradication of Corrupt Behavior Through the Social and Cultural Values"

Abstract : Corruption in Indonesia has entered the stage of " corruption emergency ." This Stadium is strenthened by result of the International Community Survey that put Indonesia at the fourth most corrupt country in the world and the first most corrupt country in Asia with the Corruption Perception Index (CPI) 9.2. The right idea is the institutionalization (doble legitimacy) that is it returns sociocultural values inherent in Indonesian society. This assumption is appropriate given the systemic corrupt behavior has been entered into all aspect of people life. In Indonesian society, socio-cultural values is very potential to eradicate corrupt behavior. During this time the idea of eradicating corruption rests on the notion of law only in the sense of maximizing approach to law (law reform) and institutional (institutions reform). But its results work, ineffectively. Then, it can become an instrument to control the behavior of each person to take not to corrup. It also will grow a culture of control. Finally, it can minimize chances of corruptive behavior. (DR. Eliza Meiyani, M.Si)
